Why am I seeing strange content in the Web Viewer?

If you see unexpected or unrelated content (like the example below) in the right-hand panel of your LedgerLink file, you are not alone! This is happening because the website that LedgerLink's embedded web viewer was using is no longer under our control. We have not been able to recover the domain, so the web viewer may now display unrelated or even confusing content.

What should I do?

The easiest and safest solution is to remove the web viewer object from your LedgerLink layout. This will prevent any unwanted or confusing content from appearing.

How to remove the web viewer​

  1. Go into Layout mode in FileMaker.
  2. Select the web viewer object (the panel showing the unwanted content).
  3. Delete the web viewer from the layout.
  4. Return to Browse mode.

That's it! LedgerLink will continue to work as expected without the web viewer.

Note: Removing the web viewer does not affect any of LedgerLink's core features or your data.
